On 6/24/2006, it exploded in one day. I think WordPress.com based on daily statistic. I had 433 vistors on that day. I usually get like 40 to 50 readers everyday. After that, I get an average of 140 a day now.
Idonothingallday, yes it is only on wordpress.com. For those who has a wordpress account on different webhosting, it will not track those.
Marquisdejolie, ha ha. I never thought of it.
Maybe you will. It is a cool idea. I wonder if I could track all commentors on my blog. I guess I will find out.
That is a good question. Some people are lurkers, just to read but not comment. I do that sometimes.

I swear I was #92 for a whole five minutes. I stared at it in disbelief (5 minutes), logged off and when I got back on, it wasn’t there anymore.
Now it’s my goal!

The status of fasting growing wordpress.com is based on daily basis. But it can be ongoing status if you have received higher viewers constantly on one entry, or more than one entry. I did see mine, but next day, it disappeared. I suppose you have to find a excellent, interesting entry to post, so they will come to your blog. Maybe you can talk about what is going on currently. anything, that will be popular in next few days, or weeks. If so, your entry could be on the list.
